Seems like Brian M. Rosenthal is doing some crisis management for Uber and Lyft. Is he trying pump up their stock?

Officials have blamed Uber, but much of the crisis can be traced to a handful of taxi tycoons.

Dara Khosrowshahi, Uber’s CEO, was on the board of The NY Times until about a year and a half ago.

Question - why did The NY Times articles spend so much copy space on  former (1996-2010) TLC Commissioner Matthew Daus.  Why blame him and not the obvious culprits - David Yassky and Meera Joshi, who during their respective tenures, laid the groundwork for the entrance of Uber and then proceeded with the destruction of the yellow franchise under Joshi by adding an additional 85,000 for hire vehicles.  Illegally, according to TLC rules.

Everyone was making money during Daus’ tenure, including Doug Schifter, the Black Car driver who blew his head off in front of the City Council last year.  His writings in Black Car News laid the blame clearly on NYC government.

The NY Times should read his articles.

When Daus took over as a TLC Commissioner in 1996, medallions were going for $200,000.

When he left in 2010 they were going for $500,000.

Rate of return 7% per annum.

That’s not a bubble.

Brian M. Rosenthal should look into the McKinsey & Company, "For-Hire Vehicle Transportation Study," which found that, contrary to the mayor's earlier assertions, Uber did not play a major role in clogging city streets.

Remember, McKinsey worked with other non-McKinsey consultants and City Hall staff to prepare it.

Also, Ten of the document's 43 pages are fully redacted. Sixteen are partially redacted. The 17 remaining pages are the title page, four tables of contents, two graphic illustrations of streetscapes, and a page featuring “The City’s guiding principles for regulation,” which are “Simplicity,” “Flexibility,” “Balance,” “Enforcement,” and “Evenness.”

So who was it that buried the cab drivers financially? Uber and Lyft, the credit unions, or the municipal government that constructed this rolling scheme in the first place? We report, you decide.

Decide..?....Hell IT WAS APPS / Ride Pirating Gypsy Congesting Causing Whores With BACKING of BLOOMASSHOLE That Did IT....!!!

The medallion system was created so that the streets would not be clogged with vehicles, and it worked. Not only did it work, it should be restored for the same reason. Also, those drivers that drove the taxis made a good living.  But, greed fucked it up. Jealously fucked it up. Now we have to UN_FUCK it!

The only question they should be asking is:ONCE YOU FUCK CAN YOU UN-FUCK?

Inquiries Into Reckless Loans to Taxi Drivers Ordered by State Attorney General and Mayor

This is such B.S.

Remember, owners enjoyed almost 80 years of uninterrupted gains.

As an asset class, medallions gained an average of 8.3% a year before peaking at more than $1 million each in 2012.

Bull markets always end. For medallions, Uber ended the rally. Thanks to Bloomberg,  Yassky, Joshi, Governor Coumo, Obama just  to name a few.

We did nothing wrong neither the drivers nor the owners nor the banks nor the credit unions nor the lenders nor  brokers , we did nothing wrong the only people who did something wrong was the city of New York for allowing Uber to come in to dilute our exclusive and with lack of regulation
