I'm not pushing lower fares from the street but for ehails so we can wipe out Uber , higher rates for fares from the street might be good idea in the old days but now riders got a choice to take ride share  we need to be careful ,  wanting that just might kill us , its not like the old days,  we need to be smart and hurt them , when your at war you have to sacrifice for the future , I think we can hurt them and they are hurting now, its good time to attack

You're forgetting that Uber's price is based on an artificial model. They still subsidize 50% or so of every ride with venture capital. Their latest round from Softbank was 10 Billion.

The bottom line is we're fighting a company which operates in a separate reality and can literally lose two BILLION dollars every year and keep going.

What that means is, their end game is to destroy everything in their path and eliminate Human drivers asap.

Yea that's a real issue ,  i think we can win ,we really not giving up anything because we wouldn't lower our street price just the ehail to squeeze uber, they not gonna want to subsidize their whole fleet if its too costly

Well you'd still need the City Council/TLC to approve that. As far as I know we can't legally change our rate on our own. We don't control ehail.

If I had a spot in either of those agencies the first thing I'd do would be to ban the use of outside monies to subsidize TNC rides. That would be an extremely fair and rational move and pretty much destroy the TNC's overnight. Because their 'business model' is a sick joke and unrelated to legitimate Capitalism.

This is a game where one side is running down the clock with outside monies and the other side is doing an honest job/ trying to survive.

Im not sure what approvals are needed , but were not raising the rate were lowering , I remember when the Ehail rules were passed , it gave permission to the taxi apps to lower but not to raise rates but I cant find anything in the rules now which permits that

Ok well maybe look into that. As far as I know it goes through Arro and Curb (CMT and Verifone?)

I'm far from an expert on this subject.

de Blasio AND ChairPERSON 'No See' have NOT raised the taxi rates for yellow cab drivers. SHAME SHAME !!

...and.. AND !!! ... we are the ONLY workers who are paid LESS when we work on HOLIDAYS !!!
(i.e. no 'rush hour' fare surcharge AND the JFK 'peak' pare is actually REDUCED by $4.50 !!! )

Also - why are the cabbies and the owners getting GOUGED by credit card fees ??!
MAJOR DEPARTMENT STORES only pay about 1.5%
