Is this good for us?
Initial thinking is Uber cannot afford to pay its drivers so itís drivers leave and come back to yellow?

It had to be fair If they mingle in taxi driver earnings then they should mingle in black car apps

Is it 17.22 per hour average? or 17.22 minimum for each hour?

Yellow taxis provide one third of the daily trips.

And yet the authors of the app driver income study were told not to take yellow into account.

They were also told not to consider a cap.

Itís a single ecosystem, within which we all work.  Everything that happens in one segment affects all the other segments.

If they truly wanted a useful study they would have looked at the entire system in its entirety.

True , maybe there will be a cap with some of the new council bills. A pay floor is what is needed or a cap to boost pay for app drivers. Yellows are not the same, Uber supplies the fares to black cars drivers and controls their income. Yellows cannot be subjected to that pay standard because medallion owners do not supply fares. The city actually controls that.
The city has lease caps on how much owners can charge for renting their taxis , keeping up earnings for cab drivers.
