Transit union activist Tramell Thompson compares pro-Cuomo
« on: August 20, 2018, 08:15:47 PM »
A black train conductor who is running for the head of the city’s transit union called some of his co-workers “slaves” on a public forum for campaigning for Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

Tramell Thompson, a union activist who runs the Transport Workers Union Local 100 resistance group Progressive Action, on Tuesday posted a photo on his Facebook page of four MTA workers handing out flyers supporting Cuomo. He wrote in the photo caption that it was no different than “telling other slaves to promote a lynch party.”

“It’s even more sad to see our own members not educated enough on the damage Cuomo has done to our union through contracts (wages, health benefits) and tier 6 pensions,” wrote Thompson, 35. “Seeing them do this work is no different than a slave master telling other slaves to go promote a lynch party where they might even get lynched. This obviously went over their head and it’s sad to see these sisters do this.”
