Toyota is eyeing a $500 million investment in ride-hailing giant Uber at an eye-popping valuation of $72 billion, the Wall Street Journal reported Monday.

That's a significant jump from Uber's most recently stated valuation of $62 billion, based on a self-reported tender offer at the end of the first quarter. The company lost $659 million last quarter, marking a wider loss than its first-quarter figure, according to its own report.

Does anyone know the truth about UBER?  The information in all the news articles is about as contradictory as can be.

Does anyone even know what Uber is?  Itís a rideshare company.  No, itís bikeshare.  Well sometimes itís food delivery.  No, no letís be an autonomous trucking company.  Autonomous vehicles?  Flying cars?  Public transportation?

Bottom line, just give us the money - weíll figure it out later.

In June 2016 Uber took $3.6 billion from Saudi Arabia. The deal marked the company's biggest cash influx from a single investor. Uber's valuation at the time was $62.5 billion. Two weeks later some of  the original inventors in Uber were trying to sell their stock(privately) at a $45 billion (approximately), valuation. They wanted out.
