There are additional cool uses with a universal taxi app.
You could open a universal taxi app and see where available taxis are , if your at home or at the office
You could open the app and see if there are cabs going by on the street, or you can tap it to get your car
If your in the street and you donít see a yellow you can look on the app to see if one is coming thatís is out of sight
Thatís just two , Iím sure there are many more

Everything said is true. But the question is:  HOW DO WE GET FROM TALK TO ACTION?

Sunday mornings you cannot find the yellow cab,  you can stand on the corner forever
Now is the time to get a yellow cab app an official New York City yellow cab app so that people will be able to find a cab as easily as they find an Uber

Something i dont get , is there not technology out there that using a signal to the nearest cab,  without needing to put in a address of the passenger , so a passenger standing on a corner when not seeing a cab can signal a cab around the corner without putting in any info  automatically send the paz name and ;location ?

At 4:30 AM I had to walk from 75th & Park to 64 and 1st with $400 in my pocket. No cab seen the whole walk. I have lived in NYC for over 50 years and I could always hail a cab anytime.
